About The Photographer 

My name is Angela Blanco and I currently reside in Springvale, Maine with my husband and daughter. I took an interest in photography many years ago when I was a kid. I have always loved taking photographs and looking at what other photographers do for work. As time passed, I developed more and more of an interest in it. Now, I am certified as well as furthering my photography education at the New York Institute of Photography with the hopes of opening my own studio someday. Additionally, I am looking into attending school at Macintosh College for my Associate's Degree in Professional Photography. Right now, I am basically doing freelance work whenever somebody requests it. Another aspect of photography that has caught my attention is Photoshop. I have been doing extensive work with it to learn more and I must say, I have learned quite a bit about it and love the things I am able to do to a photograph to bring out the creativeness in it even more. I do a little bit of work with film photography, but most of what I do is digital. I bought my first film SLR camera in early 2005 a few months after my daughter was born. I took that camera everywhere with me. Well, after a while, the cost of film developing was getting a bit expensive, so I decided to upgrade to a digital SLR camera in December of 2005. I have not been able to get out as much as I would like to in order to go shooting, but I have found that when I do go out, that camera does not leave my side and I take so many more photographs than I ever could afford with the film. Needless to say, the thought of photography had become more of a passion of mine rather than just a hobby. Now, I am putting forth every effort to make it my career.

Services

I do a variety of sessions including family portraits, children, babies, pregnancy, seniors, couples, engagements, weddings, special events, pets, sports, nature & landscapes, macro & art photography, as well as taking special requests as long as they are reasonable. I also do my own work in photoshop to enhance the photographs. I offer digital framing, color enhancement, color accent, black & white, sepia, vignetting, collages, and much more.
